Clinical Pharmacy Internship
A two-week intensive internship built around hospital clinical practice.
Programme specification
Overview
A two-week intensive clinical pharmacy internship covering the essential knowledge and practical skills a hospital pharmacist applies in patient care, delivered through structured clinical teaching and hospital exposure.
The programme runs five days a week across ten four-hour sessions, combining theoretical teaching, clinical case discussions, specialized medical rounds, and real hospital workflows.
Who this is for — and who it isn’t
This programme is for
- Senior pharmacy students (Years 4, 5, 6 / PharmD)
- Pharmacy graduates preparing for hospital and clinical practice
- Pharmacists seeking structured hospital clinical training
This programme is not for
- Students earlier than Year 4
- Those looking for an online-only theoretical course
- Those seeking a certificate without active training attendance
What you’ll experience
Clinical lectures & case reviews
Structured teaching across specialized hospital clinical modules.
Applied clinical reasoning
Real-world decision making on drug therapy, TDM, and dosage calculations.
Specialty medical rounds
Exposure to critical care, oncology, nephrology, cardiology, and transplant cases.
Medication management clinics
Outpatient clinic exposure to monitor therapy adherence and adverse drug reactions.
